Maritime & Marine Industry

Joysticks, Controllers and Positions Sensors for vessels and deck equipment

The Maritime & Marine industry requires heavy duty position sensors & HMI-products for harsh and sometimes hazardous environments. The parts need to be reliable, durable and robust. Our position sensors and joysticks will help you save (maintenance) costs and can be part of your automation and digitalisation program.

We offer standard sensors & joystick controllers, but can also help you with a tailor-made measuring or HMI-solution.

Products

Marine joysticks

The Maritime industry requires heavy duty Joysticks for harsh and hazardous environments (gas, dust and vapour). The parts need to be explosion proof, reliable and intrinsically safe (ATEX).

Multi-operational cobra joysticks

Cobra multi-function controllers can be used to control complex functions with built-in pushbuttons and rocker potentiometers.

ATEX joysticks

Heavy duty joysticks with ATEX/IECEx certified components for zone 1 hazardous environments.

Hand joysticks

Industrial hand operated joysticks are used to control heavy duty machinery such as cranes, winches, agriculture machines, and construction machines. These robust joysticks have a small build-in size and offer high reliability, smooth operation, and long life expectancy. This provides confidence for machine builders and operators!

Finger joysticks

Fingertip and thumb controlled joysticks are used for applications such as wheelchairs, robotic operations, medical instruments or where precision is essential.

Mini joysticks

Miniature joysticks and thumbsticks are the smallest joysticks available and are specially designed for mounting in narrow spaces while remaining robust and highly reliable.

Joysticks for ship control applications

Specialized vessels require robust and durable joysticks for controlling the vessel and onboard equipment. Our DP joysticks are used in DP systems to manually adjust the position and heading. The joysticks have a robust mechanism that offers great feelability and the redundant electrical output signals provide confidence in critical applications.

Custom remote controllers

Marine deck equipment, such as cranes, winches and material handling machines require robust single or multi-axis joysticks that can be operated by hand, finger or full hand grip.

Our custom remote controller offers precise control of vessel thrusters and deck equipment in a compact light weighted housing. The aluminium sealed housing (IP67) and redundant output options offer high reliability joysticks for maritime applications.

Joysticks for special vessels

Marine vessels require high-end computer controlled systems to automatically maintain its position by using the vessels propellers and thrusters. Whether it’s to manually control the ship’s position and heading alone or as part of a positioning system for combined manual or auto control our joysticks are developed to meet the requirements of marine vessels.

The joysticks can be customized to the wishes of the customer, providing the best performance for your maneuvering systems or deck equipment. Our Joysticks are used in marine vessels, such as:

Drill ships | Cable-laying vessels | Pipe laying vessels | FPSO’s | Maritime research vessels | Mega yachts | Offshore supply vessels | Shuttle tankers | Dredgers
